The drives measure only 127x82x20mm in size and weight just a tad over 160g, while their storage capacity is set at 500GB thanks to the integrated hard drive with a 5400RPM spindle speed.
Built by Fujitsu, the HDD is designed to take full advantage of the transfer speeds offered by the USB 3.0 interface as it can achieve maximum speeds of 90.2MB/s, while average transfer rates are rated at about 70.2MB/s.
Verbatim's sleek portable hard drive are bundled together with a copy of the Nero BackItUp & Burn Essentials software that provides full system backup and restore functions, the ability to schedule automatic backup by date/time and an encrypted backup option with password control.
In addition, the software packs also contains two other simple tools, the Green Button software and the Formatter Software.
The first one of these is used to send the drive in sleep/suspend modes when not in use, while the latter allows users to change the format of the drive from FAT32 to NTFS or HFS+.
