Globally sold as HTC Incredible S, Verizon's Incredible 2 was launched on the market in April.
While the device is not among the most popular Android smartphones offered by Verizon, it appears that the carrier wants to bump the phone's sales by launching a more appealing version.
As seen in the snapshot, the phone retains its original dark color on the front, but its back is now silver, which makes it more attractive.
HTC DROID Incredible 2 was initially delivered with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and the next-generation HTC Sense user interface on board, but Verizon deployed Google's Gingerbread upgrade two weeks ago, thus increasing the phone's desirability.
Even though the smartphone is equipped with a single core 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, complemented by an Adreno 205 GPU, it offers users more ways to stay connected, including FriendStream, which delivers Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr updates.
Add to that the brilliant 4-inch S-LCD capacitive multi-touch screen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution, and you have an affordable alternative to the modern dual-core Android smartphones.
Furthermore, the DROID Incredible 2 packs 1.1 GB ROM, 768 MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).
In addition, the handset boasts a superior 8-megapixel main camera that features autofocus, dual-LED flash, touch-focus, face detection and image stabilization, which allows users to capture the most precious moments and share them with friends and family via Facebook.
According to the manufacturer, HTC DROID Incredible 2 is powered a 1450 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 360 hours of standby time or up to 6 hours and 30 minutes of talk time.
